Mashhad is metropolis in northeast of Iran and it is the center of Khorasan Razavi province. After Tehran, it’s the second vast city in Iran. Mashhad’s area is 17358 square kilometers. It is in Kashf rood basin and the southern end of Toos sedimentray plains. Hezarmasjed mountain is on its northand Binaludis on its south. It is 970 meters above the sea level. Its distance from Tehran is 934 Km and Kashfrood riveris located in 8 Km north of this city and flows from northwest to east.From north,Mashhad is limited to Turkmenistan,from northwest it is limited to Dargaz and Chenaran,from west and south, it shares border with Neishaboor and Fariman,and from east and southeast,it has border with Sarakhs and Torbatejam.
